How to Prepare for College
Many pupils which are studying in the senior year have the desire to enter the university and to continue their education. But what they can do besides good academic grades to receive the admission letter from the chosen educational institution? Unfortunately, academic success is not today a guarantee of the admission into university, many other factors play important role. The university staff pays their attention on such things as voluntary work and additional abilities of the entrants. It means that the candidates must be good in sport, singing, dancing etc. Even in they have lower marks after high school than other candidates, they can have a priority because of their abilities.
The university staff knows the worth of their educational institution and they have to understand clearly why definite person must join the university community. After the choosing of the university which the student wants to enter, he has to write down the reasons why he had chosen exactly this educational institution. It is quite natural that the university staff is looking for the talented students who can contribute something in their educational institution and the objective of the candidates is to force the entrance examination to choose them. The university staff is interested in those students who can present the case and to persuade the staff to decide in their favour.
Some universities prefer to make an interview with the candidates, but many candidates try to avoid it. It is not right. Quite the contrary, the entrants have to visit the interview with the university staff and try to present themselves from the best side. Interview with the representative of the chosen educational institution allows the candidates to show their worth and to prove the staff that they are enthusiastic, well – reasoned and worthy person, which deserves to study in the chosen university.
